The Vision

about

A little track made for fun in the early 2000s. I really enjoyed some of the synthesised dub bass lines sound in the early 90s, late 80s. One album hard to get hold of nowadays is Martin Campbell's The Dream Is Over on Jah Works (sadly I sold mine last a few years ago as I needed the cash) used this kind of bass sound and rhythm

In an interview for the magazine that went along with the Hidden Notes Festival, the reviewer was interested & astonished that I took inspiration form the likes of Lee Perry, Augustus Pablo & King Tubby. The music I make these days does seem a long way from those worlds but sometimes it's not the surface that matters but happens underneath. I learnt my sense of space & texture as well as production techniques from the greats of this genre and spent some time dabbling in my own small way to understand & get inside the sonic world of dub. So if you like, the is a learning track or one of those tracks where I';m working through my influences.
